Remote environmental analysis of conflict areas gathers data vital for advocacy, assessment, recovery and accountability. Formalising data collection and assessment methodologies is an important step as we work towards ensuring more detailed and comprehensive documentation of environmental harm globally. This webinar introduced CEOBS’ Wartime IncidentS to ENvironment (WISEN) methodology, explored how CEOBS has used it for research on Ukraine, Sudan and Iran, and discussed how data can be used for different purposes.
